WEATHER TO WATCH: Pleasant Thursday ahead; tracking heavy rain for Friday

Temperatures are expected to warm up as the week progresses across New Jersey.

New Jersey will be treated to some nice weather on Thursday before rain enters the forecast.
Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Justin Godynick says that New Jersey residents can also look forward to a big warmup for the upcoming week, with temperatures potentially reaching the 80s.
Wednesday night will see mild weather with clear to partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will be in the low- to mid-50s.
Thursday will see some clouds in the morning, followed by mostly sunny skies. The weather will be pleasant, with highs in the low-70s and overnight lows cooling down to the mid-50s.
Friday will see rain throughout the day. The rain may be heavy at times, with the worst of the rain late Friday night into early Saturday. Godynick says 1-2 inches of rain is likely across the state. High temperatures will be cooler in the low-60s. Overnight lows will cool to the low-50s.
Saturday is expected to see rain in the morning, with cloudy skies by the afternoon. Temperatures are expected to remain cooler, with highs only in the upper-50s. Overnight lows will dip to the mid-40s.
Mother’s Day Sunday will see the weather improving, with dry conditions and a mix of sun and clouds. Daytime highs will be in the low-60s. Overnight lows are expected to be around 46 degrees.
