New Jersey began the work week with sunny skies and warmer temperatures following last week's cold and dreary weather.
News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says temperatures across the state were well into the 60s, and the heavy winds have mostly died down. However, Curren says temperatures Monday were slightly below average for this time of year.
Monday's overnight hours should see some cloud coverage develop, and temperatures are expected to cool into the low-50s.
Tuesday is expected to see mostly sunny skies. Temperatures should warm up into the low-70s. Skies should remain clear all day with temperatures cooling to the mid-50s by the night.
Wednesday is also expected to see mostly sunny skies. High temperatures should reach 73 degrees.
Curren says there is the chance of some rain developing late in the day on Friday.
