The News 12 New Jersey Weather Center is tracking Tropical Storm Joaquin as scattered rainstorms cross the Garden State.
News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says the brief but heavy downpours are bringing much-needed rain to New Jersey. The storms are expected to last until Wednesday. Temperatures for Tuesday night are expected to be around 70 degrees.
Curren says the warmer temperatures Tuesday night will lead to more rain for Wednesday. Heavy rainfall is expected to last into Wednesday afternoon and then develop again by the evening.
Thursday should see mostly cloudy skies with rain later in the afternoon. High temperatures should only reach around 60 degrees.
Friday should also see periods of heavy rains with temperatures in the mid-60s.
