A major water main break in Middletown is impacting the area around Campbell’s Junction, according to Mayor Tony Perry.
Perry says that the break is at the intersection of East and Leonardville roads.
He says that JCP&L had shut off the power to around 200 homes for a time. The power has since been turned back on.
The Middletown Library will be open as a warming center for impacted residents since temperatures are in the 20s and 30s in parts of the state.
A spokesperson for New Jersey American Water tells News 12 that about 45 customers will be impacted during the break. They said that repairs are expected to be completed by Wednesday morning.
East Road is closed from Park Avenue to Leonardville Road and Leonardville Road is closed between Waterview Drive and Hopping Road.
