New Jersey state troopers rescued a 4-year-old boy and his dog who became lost in the woods.

The boy and the black Labrador had wandered away from their home in Buena Vista Township. They were missing for more than an hour, according to police.

During the search, Trooper Ian Emmi and the boy’s mother heard him off in the distance and ran to his location. He was found about a half-mile from the home.

Police body camera video shows the tearful reunion.

The boy was not hurt.
