A viewer sent in video to News 12 of what looks like a whale shark spotted in the Hudson Canyon.
The video was taken Friday night as the viewer was fishing off the New Jersey coast for tuna.
The viewer says the shark stuck around for three hours.
Whale sharks are not dangerous to people and eat small things such as plankton.
