Police in Warren County are warning residents about scam calls from a man pretending to a sergeant.

Officials say a man is claiming he’s Sergeant Webster of the Warren County Sherriff’s Office. They say the man pretending to be a sergeant has accused residents of failing to appear in court and then threatens to arrest them.

Police say not to give out any personal information over the phone. Anyone who gets a call like this is asked to contact the legitimate police.
