Window-rattling winds will continue through tonight, but not as strong as they were earlier in the afternoon. A peak wind of 46 mph was observed at Newark Liberty International Airport earlier today. Despite the sun, that wind made it feel much cooler than what was being registered on thermometers.
Daily highs today climbed to 50+ degrees in most, if not all, New Jersey neighborhoods. And before the winds picked up, there was this brief warm/cool, spring-like, feel to the air. Of course, the wind had to go and screw everything up. Those winds will be dragging in another bout of below-average temperatures for tomorrow.
Plenty of sun for Thursday but it's back to the 30s for us. This is going to be an ongoing weather scenario. One day mild then next day cooler for the next seven to 10 days. Make sure your arms are inside the ride at all times and get used to the rollercoaster ride we'll be on for the next week or so.
Friday brings rain - and possibly a good deal of it - over the span of the day. This is a good thing. We need the water. I wish it wasn't going to have such an impact on both the morning and evening drive times though.
