The weather conditions are much improved today with very warm highs near 85 under a mostly sunny sky. The humidity sticks around for the time being with very little changes for the weekend.
Saturday will be sunny with thin clouds building that filter out the blue sky and dilute the sunshine. It remains warm, however, with highs near 80. Rain arrives overnight into Sunday and will wrap up early. A few fleeting rain showers are expected near sunrise, but the sun comes out, and the sky clears Sunday afternoon.
The forecast deviates early next week as it truly will depend on how two tropical systems interact with a front. The front is stalled off to the south over the weekend, which will act like a wall to redirect these tropical cyclones from moving fully up the east coast.
These two tropical systems, Imelda and Humberto will move very close together, where Imelda poses a threat to the U.S. Southeast Coast. Humberto is driven out to sea by the front, whereas Imelda is suppressed and stalls over the Carolinas.
If a "doorway" within the "wall" of the weather front opens, there could potentially be impacts to New Jersey on Tuesday. This is something that needs to be monitored carefully over the weekend as it is not a distinct or "cut and dry" forecast.
