Walmart is investigating after a photo was posted on social media that seems to depict guns as school supplies.

The viral photo shows a sign reading “Own the School Year Like a Hero” on top of a display of guns in one of the company’s stories.

Walmart says that the photo is consistent with the interior of its stores, but that the company has not determined which store it is, or if the image is even real.

The photo drew comments of outrage on social media, with many people referencing recent school shootings.

Walmart released a statement that said in part, “what’s seen in this photograph would never be acceptable in our stores.”
