A Wall Township family is doing their part to make sure New Jerseyans stay warm this winter.
The Coyne family put up a coat rack near their home on 18th Avenue in the West Belmar section of town. There are instructions for people to take a coat if they need one and leave a coat behind if they have an extra one.
The family previously put out a scarf rack and a mini library for people to take donations or leave them. They say that since Thanksgiving they have turned over more than 70 coats.
“It’s amazing…Daily somebody is at the pole or the rock or the library,” says Brittany Coyne. “It gives us joy. It’s just a good thing to do to feel good.”
The family says that they plan to add a children’s section go the library next year.
