Two firefighters are paying it forward after a southern Jersey waitress picked up their tab.
Tim Young of the Mount Holly Fire Department took Paul Hullings of the Hainesport Fire Department to breakfast at the Route 130 Diner in Delran after Hullings spent 12 hours fighting the massive warehouse fire in North Brunswick on Wednesday.
Young tells WPVI-TV in Philadelphia they turned the bill over and saw a note from waitress Liz Woodard saying she was paying for breakfast. She thanked them for their courage, strength and bravery.
Young posted the note on Facebook and learned the waitress is trying to raise $80,000 to buy a wheelchair accessible van for her paralyzed father. She has raised $30,000, so far.
Hullings say they'll do whatever they can to help.
