A teenager swimming in the ocean off Seaside Heights drowned Wednesday.
The teenager was swimming near Hamilton Avenue when he and another swimmer went missing. The other swimmer was rescued.
The victim was a 16-year-old male from Voorhees who was with the Youth Consolations Group Home.
This is the first drowning in Seaside Heights to occur while a lifeguard was on duty.
