Nearly half of schools in Paterson have dealt with intruders in their virtual classrooms flaunting obscenities.
Superintendent Eileen F. Shafer says kids are sharing links to Google classrooms with people who don't belong.
Twenty-five kids are responsible for the disturbances, with half being identified.
In a letter to parents, Shafer says, in part, “The Information Technology Department is currently in dialogue with officials at Google to rapidly deploy the enhancements that give Google Meet moderators greater control over their meetings. Students who disrupt any virtual classroom with obscene material will be suspended for 10 days and lose their technology privileges while they are suspended."
