A NJ Transit rider says he was berated by a bus driver in Newark.
The viewer shared the video of his ride on the No. 34 bus Saturday afternoon. The person says they asked the driver to slow down and be easy on the brakes, and was cursed at instead.
The driver also told anyone who was uncomfortable with the ride to get off the bus.
News 12 New Jersey reached out to NJ Transit, which said in statement, "The behavior depicted in the video is not consistent with the standards NJ Transit expects of its employees nor does it represent the ideals of our union which strives to foster courteous and professional behavior toward our customers."
The statement goes on to say that "NJ Transit and our union will jointly investigate this matter and take the appropriate action necessary so that it does not happen again."
A spokesperson also said that if other riders have similar videos, to send them to NJ Transit.
