An argument during a recent borough council meeting in Ocean County nearly came to blows between the mayor and a council member. 
Mayor Paul Kanitra, who is in the pink blazer, and Council Member Bob Santanello, had to be separated by police during Tuesday night's meeting.  
The mayor tells News 12 the altercation came during a discussion on borough spending.
Santanello calls the incident unfortunate, telling News 12 the video speaks for itself.
No charges were filed.
