Caught on camera -- a detective from Manchester Township saved a young girl's life after she was eating lunch with her family and started choking.
It happened July 14 at the Café Napoli restaurant in the Manchester Plaza shopping center.
Her uncle attempted the Heimlich maneuver, but it wasn’t successful.
That's when Detective Richard Jupinka jumped into action. He was on duty, also eating lunch at the restaurant.
Jupinka tried the Heimlich maneuver himself, and was successful.
The girl did not require any other medical attention.
