A man is recovering in the hospital after nearly losing a thumb during a violent home burglary on Homestead Avenue.
Police say a group of three men entered an unlocked apartment Tuesday night and aggressively beat two men inside. According to authorities, a pair of pruning shears was used against one of the robbery victims, nearly severing his thumb. The three suspects escaped with cash from the two men and have not yet been apprehended.
Authorities say that there does not appear to be a link between Tuesday?s robbery and the recent robbery of a college student on Homestead Avenue. The pruning shear victim has yet to be questioned by police.
Anyone with information about this crime is encouraged to contact the Ewing Police Department.
