An attack on a 60-year-old man allegedly by a group of teenagers has outraged the Jersey City community, including the victim.
Robert Wilkinson is in the hospital recovering from a kicking and beating attack by five teens. He has been hospitalized since Saturday with a broken leg, fractured ribs, cuts and bruises.
Wilkinson said the outpouring of concern has helped him deal with the anger he still feels inside.
Police arrested four teens for the attack, including a 13-year-old. They say the teens recorded the attack on a cell phone.
"What would you say to these kids? I would ask them, ?Do you have a father or grandfather and would you beat up on your own grandfather??" Wilkinson said.
Police say they are very close to making a fifth arrest. The four juveniles arrested have been charged with robbery and aggravated assault.
