A 24-hour vigil is being held in Morris County in honor of prisoners of war and those who remain missing in action.
Veterans and volunteers have been at Budd Lake since Friday at 4 p.m. to read the names, ranks and serial numbers of the men and women missing in action or presumed to be prisoners of war dating back to the Civil War to the Vietnam War.
"These are the people who made the ultimate sacrifice," says Charlie Uhrmann. "Left their families and were never able to say a proper goodbye."
Each hour about 100 names will be read and a bell will be rang 21 times, which is the highest honor someone can receive.
