Princeton police are investigating a break-in at a luxury consignment shop where the owners say about $230,000 worth of designer merchandise was stolen.

The owners said thieves smashed through the store's front door during the break-in last Tuesday.

They said a security camera alert woke them around 2 a.m. When they checked the camera feed, police were already at the scene.

Princeton police confirmed Wednesday that the theft remains under investigation by the department's detective bureau. Police said they were unable to provide additional information at this time.
