A group that serves kids in
after-school programs is getting an assist from UPS.
New City Kids offers academic
and arts learning support. They are moving into their new space in the Dawn
Treader Christian School in Paterson.
UPS is helping out with the
move so they can start up in their new location this fall.
Director Jessie
Davis says they would have been weeks behind without the
help.
"Right now, we're running summer camp at our other site, and staff
just didn’t have the time or capacity to move things out,” says Davis. “UPS
came in and said they would provide the lift, the manpower and we are going to
be able to serve double the kids we served last year."
New City Kids helps over
100 kids in Paterson. They will work with more when their second site opens in
September.
