(AP) - Prosecutors plan to upgrade chargesagainst a Toms River man arrested after a weekend accident at theJersey shore that killed a former "American Idol" contestant.
Daniel Bark appeared Monday in state Superior Court on chargesof reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident. JudgeWendel E. Daniels said he was notified that charges of aggravatedmanslaughter, death by auto and eluding police will be forthcoming.
Alexis Cohen was killed when she was struck by a motor vehicleearly Saturday in Seaside Heights. The 24-year-old Allentown, Pa.,resident is best known for her angry rejection rant during theshow's seventh season.
Defense attorney David Glassman said Bark and his family aredistraught over Cohen's death.
