The Union County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the deaths of four babies over an eight-day period and within a mile radius of each other in Elizabeth.
Foul play is not suspected in any of the deaths. Dr. Thomas Hegyi says it would be unusual but possible that the infants all perished from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
Autopsy results could take a couple of weeks.
