Many politicians head to two Trenton eateries to discuss business and enjoy a good meal.
Many say Marsilio?s is one of the hottest places to mix politics and pasta. Restaurant owners say the well-connected often reserve tables with wine pitchers bearing their names. Some of Marsilio?s clientele include governors, lawmakers, judges and media types.
A rival eatery of Marsilio?s, Lorenzo?s, has a long history of giving politicians what they crave ? good food and privacy. However, in recent years, the owners of Lorenzo?s say most politicians seem content dining in plain sight.
Competition between Lorenzo?s and Marsilio?s will cool soon. Marsilio?s plans to close the restaurant side of the business at the end of November after 21 years. Owners say they plan to keep the catering side of the business.
