A pandemic record number of people hit the roads rails and
skies to celebrate a near-normal Independence Day weekend.
The TSA says it screened more than 10 million people over
the holiday weekend from Thursday through Monday.
Even though airlines expected crowds, many became
overwhelmed. FlightAware says about 10,000 flights were delayed or canceled
Thursday.
That situation improved over the weekend with about 4,500
flights delayed and 220 canceled on Monday.
