The latest episode of a true crime podcast centers on a Bridgeport cold case, city officials say.

"Wild Card, Connecticut" from The Deck Podcast tells the story of the 1994 murder of 45-year-old Benjamin Rosario.

Police say Rosario's body was found dismembered and in trash bags on Seaview Avenue, at the junction of Stratford Avenue and Connecticut Avenue, and on Pleasure Beach over several days in August 1994.

Rosario lived with his disabled wife and nephew on Union Avenue.

Police say Rosario was last seen two nights before his body parts were found with an unidentified Hispanic man in what was then the Side Effects Cafe on Connecticut Avenue. His family reported him missing on Aug. 1.

The Deck previously focused an episode on the 1993 fatal stabbing of Milagros Nieves.

Both incidents are being investigated by the Bridgeport Police Department's Homicide Unit. No arrests have been made in either case.

Anyone with information on the cases is asked to call Det. Jeffrey Holtz at 203-581-5293 or the Bridgeport Police Tips Line at 203-576-TIPS.
