Tropical Storm Fay brought heavy rain and some road flooding to parts of the Jersey Shore, including on Long Beach Island.
The skies had cleared somewhat on LBI by 4 p.m., but the effects of the storm were well-known. Several roads on the island had to be temporarily closed and detoured due to road flooding.
The flooding had receded somewhat by the late afternoon as the storm moved on to other parts of New Jersey.

The storm caused more flooding in other areas of the state and knocked out power to thousands of residents.
