Passengers at Newark Airport finally made it to Florida after a 15 ½ hour delay.

Travelers said their United Airlines flight from Newark to Fort Myers was scheduled to take off around 8 p.m. Friday but was grounded because pilots were too tired to fly.

United Airlines told News 12 that customers were provided with compensation for the inconvenience caused by the delay.

According to the airline's website, the flight took off at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
