A curfew is now in place for teenagers in the North Beach area of Toms River.
According to police, anyone under the age of 17 must now be accompanied by a parent or guardian between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Police say the curfew was put in place because between early June and early July, police have received a dramatic increase in complaints against teenagers gathering without face masks.
The teens are also accused of committing acts of criminal mischief and other disorderly behavior in the area.
The North Beach area includes, but is not limited to, Silver Beach, Monterey, Normandy, Chadwick, Ocean Beaches 1, 2 and 3.
