A missing person case from 2007 was thrown back into the spotlight Friday after police received a tip from what they say is a credible source.
Liza Murphy, a 42-year-old mother of three, was reported missing two years ago. Since then, clues to her whereabouts remained scarce and officials were forced to call off their search.
Emerson Police Chief Michael Saudino now says new information led officers to the American Legion on Main Avenue, where they scoured the land for clues and a body.
Although the search turned up empty, police say they hope this will again put attention on Murphy's case and generate even more tips.
