Friday to feature seasonable temps, with clouds collecting at the end of the day

The Bermuda high responsible for the heat on Friday moves further away, but allows for storms to pass through for the upcoming weekend.

The heat today was courtesy of the Bermuda high - fair weather that is anchored in the western Atlantic, which steers heat and humidity up the East Coast. It is a staple of our summer forecast, and today was a nice appetizer of the summer menu.
That "heat pump" will move further away from the East Coast and allow another weather system to slow down and almost stall over New Jersey.
We'll first notice more clouds in our sky tomorrow. It won't be as warm because the winds will have switched to the north-northeast. The clouds will continue to collect through the latter half of the afternoon hours. A passing storm is possible, but nothing to take note of yet.
The best chance for consistent rain and storms would be very late Friday night into very early Saturday morning. Skies will remain mostly cloudy for Saturday.
Sunday also has a chance of showers early on, likely ending just after daybreak. For the remainder of the day, clouds will linger with brief hints of sunshine.
