Thousands of survivors and community members were in Edison Sunday morning to help in the fight against breast cancer.
The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk kicked off shortly after 9 a.m. at the New Jersey Expo Center.
Despite the wet and dreary weather, about 6,000 participants came out to show their determination to bring funds and awareness to fight the disease.
The 5K walk raised funds for cancer research and services.
Organizers say they raised $360,000 during this year's walk.
