Thousands of people made strides against breast cancer at the Jersey Shore Sunday morning.

The event marked the 23rd annual breast cancer walk in Point Pleasant Beach.

More than 15,000 people took part Sunday morning, walking along a course down the boardwalk and through town.

The event is a major fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Last year, the walk raised more than $1 million.
