A Garfield woman hopes the public may recognize the person she says stole a package from outside her home.
Milagros Rosario says she ordered a large picture frame to be displayed in her home. When it did not arrive for several weeks, she reached out to Federal Express. The company said it had been delivered, and that's when she knew something was wrong.
Rosario then checked a surveillance camera her brother installed outside and that's when they learned someone stole the package.
The surveillance video shows the FedEX driver delivering the package and knocking on Rosario's door. She was not home at the time. Soon after a man in a collared shirt and slacks walks past the home and notices the delivery. Several minutes later that same man walks up the driveway and steals the package.
Rosario reported the theft to the authorities and now Garfield police are looking into it.
A spokesperson for FedEX advises anyone who believes a delivery was stolen to contact the shipper. Sometimes they will replace the item.
