A dream home becomes a living nightmare in the new Netflix series “The Watcher” – and it was a reality for one Westfield family.

“The Watcher” is based on the family's experience with an anonymous stranger's creepy letters.

The show takes some artistic liberties, such as the un-welcoming to the neighborhood. The real-life Broaddus family is reimagined as the Brannocks on TV, with one of the lead actors from New Jersey himself.

The series is seven episodes long.
