Johnny Rockets celebrated its grand reopening at The Mills at Jersey Gardens Mall in Elizabeth Tuesday morning.

The location had undergone a major renovation, complete with a new lunch counter and upgraded kitchen.

The reopening celebration included free milkshakes for the first 25 guests. And for the rest of the month, Johnny Rockets will donate $1 to the Simon Youth Academy for every shake purchased. The organization helps at-risk teens graduate from high school.

Johnny Rockets was founded in 1986 in Los Angeles.
