The very busy Thanksgiving week of travel has begun.

The Port Authority says a record 8.8 million travelers will be hitting the roads and its airports this week.

The official Thanksgiving travel week according to Port Authority runs from today through Monday, December 1.

For those flying, it's recommended you arrive two hours early for domestic flights and three hours early for international flights.

Later today, U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy will take part in a news conference discussing expected travel around the country this week.
