Tenafly has canceled all Friday public school classes after a bomb threat forced evacuations at Tenafly High School.
School officials say the high school was evacuated and students and staff were sent home early Thursday after a bomb threat. According to a letter on the district?s Web site, ?Our decision is based on an ongoing commitment to the health and safety of our students and staff and the close and frequent consultation with our Tenafly Police [Department].?
District officials say the recent events at Virginia Tech and the anniversary date of the tragedy at Columbine High School also contributed to the decision to cancel classes Friday.
