Following a fatal crash in September, the temporary green walls installed at Hoboken Terminal were removed Monday morning, NJ Transit officials said.
The walls were taken down ahead of a June deadline. They restricted access to the concourse while repairs were made.
With the walls gone, access is back to all tracks except Track Five. The open concourse space at Hoboken Terminal will also provide additional pedestrian walkways, which were previously closed.
The detour through the waiting room caused crowding during other rail disruptions, such as the recent ones at New York Penn Station.
NJ Transit officials said it will take at least a year to get everything back up and running to full capacity.
A woman standing on a platform was killed and more than 100 people were injured when a New Jersey Transit train slammed into the station on Sept. 29. It was later revealed the engineer suffered from sleep apnea.
