A teenager who was inside her Teaneck home was hit in the head with a brick thrown through a window by a man on a bicycle Monday night.
The 18-year-old victim was laying on her couch in her Claremont Road home when she was struck with the brick. She was taken to the hospital with cuts above her eye.
According to police, the same man is believed to have been throwing bricks through windows from Monday night into Tuesday morning.
A total of seven car windows and three homes were reported damaged, all within close proximity of each other.
A witness who did not want to be identified saw one incident from his front porch. "To my left, I saw a kid come down the block and turn around and go back the other way," he says. "And then I heard a boom."
His neighbor found the driver-side window broken, and there was a large rock on his passenger seat.
The teen was the only person injured in the incidents. Her mother told News 12 New Jersey that she is going to be OK.
"Anytime something is thrown through a window, you don't know what's on the other side, if someone's there," says Teaneck Police Lt. Andrew McGurr. "So we're very concerned about that."
Police have said they have a suspect in mind, but have not yet made an arrest.
