Target is closing dozens of its stores nationwide because of the protests following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

Target is closing dozens of its stores nationwide because of the protests following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
The total comes to around 70 stores in Minnesota, almost 50 in California, and a dozen in New York.
According to the company, its focus is employee safety and helping communities heal.
Target says the workers impacted by the temporary closures will still be paid for their scheduled hours.
