Thousands of gallons of fuel spilled onto Columbia Turnpike in Morris Township Wednesday after a gas tanker flipped.
Hazmat crews from all over Morris County were dispatched to the scene. Foam was used to try and contain the spill, but crews were left working overnight to continue cleaning the mess.
Officials say only the driver suffered minor injuries.
All rooms at the fully booked Westin Hotel and two apartment buildings nearby were evacuated as a precaution.
