Images of the man are now being shared, although the incident occurred in December.
The suspect was last seen walking in the area of Penn Station in Newark.
He was wearing dark pants, a multicolored puffy jacket, a wool hat and brown boots.
Anyone with information is asked to contact New Jersey Transit police.
