A man accused of burglarizing businesses in Brick Township has been arrested.
Police say Alfred Oliveri burglarized five businesses within a two-week period.
The stores that were robbed included Yo Fresh Yogurt and its neighbor, Vio Veneto Italian restaurant. Both restaurants are located along Brick Boulevard.
Terrigani's Bagels on Hooper Avenue and Mr. Alan's Original Florist on Route 88 were also targeted.
Susan Sonderfan, an employee at Mr. Alan's Original Florist, says that on Aug. 12 she came to work and found the break-in. She saw the surveillance video of Oliveri.
"He started out at the register with a crowbar, unfortunately we leave the key in it," Sonderfan said. "When he realized that, he put the crowbar down and used the key to open the drawer."
Store managers say that Oliveri got away with a few hundred dollars during his burglaries.
Brick police say Oliveri is also a suspect in a burglary at a business in Lacey Township.
