Report: Crash that killed Warren Hills HS student ruled a suicide
A car crash that killed an 18-year-old Warren Hills Regional High School student Wednesday night has been ruled a suicide, according to a report by LehighvalleyLive.com.
Grief counselors were on hand at the school Thursday following the death of senior Jake Stria. The crash happened Wednesday night on Franklin Road in Washington Township.
The Washington Township Coroner’s Office told LehighvalleyLive.com that it was “very clear” that Stria crashed his vehicle on purpose, but did not provide any further details.
A GoFundMe page set up to help Stria’s family has raised over $14,000.
The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline was set up to provide 24/7 support for the public. Anyone who may be in crisis should call 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or contact the Crisis Text Line by texting TALK to 741741.
