Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Hope Osemwenkhae says this week looks beautiful overall with highs in the upper-70s and low-80s.
The warm weather ships away with a day worth watching for inclement weather: Friday. Friday will feature a cold front - true to the name - delivering showers and storms through Friday night into Saturday but then dropping temperatures and humidity. Not only will it feel fresh and dry this weekend, it'll feel much cooler with morning low temperatures perhaps in the upper 40s to start next week.
Catch Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Hope Osemwenkhae's Brooklyn forecast below:
TUESDAY - WEDNESDAY: A thin smoky haze will roll through the region this afternoon and evening making the sky appear lightly gray or "diluted blue".
THURSDAY: More clouds and a tad cooler. Highs near 75. Lows around 60.
FRIDAY - SATURDAY: A cold front sparks the chance for showers late Friday & Saturday. Highs around 70. Lows in the 50s.
NEXT WEEKEND: A SIGNIFICANT cool down looking likely, ushering in a crisp fall feel where highs are likely in the 50s and lows in the 40s by Sunday night / Monday.
Wildfire smoke has been slowly moving down from Canada over the course of Saturday to Sunday and it has made the skies a little hazy around the tri-state area. While the smoke is expected to linger around through Tuesday afternoon, it is not expected to reach the levels where advisories will be issued for poor air quality and the public health at risk.
