Our coastal storm is inching away from the Jersey shoreline, but the likelihood for quick clearing to the skies is not optimal...yet!

Fair weather to the west will continue to nudge our storms along, and eventually, skies will be clear by morning,

This ridge of fine weather sticks around through Saturday, allowing dry and sunnier weather to prevail.

Sunday's forecast is beginning to change a bit. Guidance is picking up on a disturbance that might carry clouds and a few light showers back into the state by Sunday.

Forecast:

Tonight: Slow to clear and cooler. Upper 50s.

Thursday: Sunny with afternoon clouds and warmer. High: 80 degrees.

Friday: Sun and clouds, with temperatures in the mid- to upper 70s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. High: 77 degrees.

Sunday: Slightly warmer - 82 degrees - but clouds and a few showers are in the mix.
