A storm offshore will continue to steer the winds off the ocean and onto the shore. This wind is pushing ocean water back towards the shoreline.
With the tides already running a bit higher than normal because of the full moon yesterday, minor coastal flooding is expected in the usual spots that see a little bit of saltwater inundation during these types of wind and astronomical events. Not a big deal. Don't park your car in an area that normally floods.
This coastal storm is going to be a bit of a pest. It's far enough away from the coastline where rain isn't a huge problem. Just passing showers at the coast. Yet close enough that the clouds will be more of a mainstay for a few days. Hey, it could've been a whole lot worse, I guess.
TONIGHT: Cloudy with a shower chance, especially at the shore. Lows tip to the mid-60s.
TOMORROW: Mainly cloudy with a passing shower threat, primarily at the shore. Breezy. NNE winds around 15 mph. Highs around 80.
FRIDAY: Damp moments, otherwise overcast. High of around 77.
WEEKEND: Looks fairly nice for the start of Fall. Partly sunny on both days with daytime temperatures in the mid-70s.
