Sunny conditions warmed things up a bit across New Jersey after many residents woke up to some chilly temperatures.
Temperatures got down into the 20s in certain areas of the state overnight, with temps registering at 27 degrees in Cranford this morning.
The early October freeze forced residents to break out the winter gear, and it's ending the growing season for most of the state. But the temperature finally rose above freezing, and that was enough for some to keep wearing shorts while others sat outside in the sunshine.
The area is expected to get a reprieve from the cold weather, with highs tomorrow climbing into the upper 60s.
